Policies

Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and checks. There will be a 3% surcharge added to all invoices being paid with a credit card. There is no surcharge for debit card payments.
Returned Checks & Overdue Accounts

There will be a $30.00 fee on all returned checks. All accounts overdue by 45 days will be subject to all cost of collection and 1.5% interest per month until paid including reasonable attorney fees.

Storage
Unless prearranged, please pick up your order within 5 business days of completion. Due to capacity issues, we are unable to safely store your projects inside our building. After 5 days we will leave your project outside and SMS will not be liable for material being lost, damaged or stolen.

Delivery
All deliveries are shipped FOB (freight on buyer). Delivery charges are determined based on amount of delivery, hand/forklift unload, and distance of delivery. Crating charges will apply on larger orders.

Delivery Packing Material
Upon leaving SMS, orders are often crate packaged for their protection so that the material arrives at the destination undamaged. Due to the custom nature of the orders, the crates are custom-made to properly fit the products in order to keep the material unscathed. Once our delivery drivers arrive at the job site and unload the material, they are not permitted to bring the crate back to our shop. The crate belongs to the purchaser; therefore, disposal of the crating material falls upon the customer.

Returns
All returns must have prior authorization before the return is accepted. Custom products cannot be returned. All items must be in original packaging and in good condition. All returns other than defective merchandise will incur a 25% restocking fee.

Damaged or Short Material
Any material that is received damaged upon receipt should be noted on the packing slip if coming via SMS truck, or on the Proof of Delivery documentation if coming via freight. Also, if there are any missing parts to the order please contact our office within 7 days of pick up/delivery.

Notice
Buyer assumes all responsibility for the application in which they install SMS material. Sheet Metal Supply, Ltd. assumes no responsibility for damaged material due to improper usage or installation of our products.
